Stay away from wax and polish.

It will usually only take a few minutes.
Four no wax polishes.
Remove the wax.
This will remove any impurities from the surface of the marble that may interfere with the sealing process.
To do this use grade 0000 steel wool.
Expect to seal every year despite popular sealant brands saying that they last three.
Spray the counter with a marble cleaner and buff dry with a soft cloth.
Spread the sealer across the entire marble countertop with a clean dry cloth and let the sealer soak into the marble for the length of time specified on the product s container typically less.
Since marble countertops grace many kitchens the sealer will also be certified safe for use where food is prepared.
At a minimum wait at least 10 minutes for the wax to soak in.
Lastly remove the wax from your countertop.
The best marble sealer is going have low or no vocs volatile organic compounds and be environmentally friendly.
What should you use as a sealant.
This will make your stone yellow.
This sealant is a protective layer between the stone and the outside world.
Marble is vulnerable to staining and discoloration so it should be sealed with a commercial grade stone sealer.
I recommend dupont stonetech bulletproof sealer.
This means it is nsf ansi 51 2012 compliant.
