Marimo Moss Carpet

An i am absolutely in love with how the marimo moss looks i googled it as a carpet an the tanks i saw was stunning an i wanted to do my kids 50 with it.

I am trying to create a hobbit hole from the lord of the rings if you don t know what i m talking about just google the shire. I want to use marimo moss balls cut in half or in thirds and then sewn together as a carpet on probably 75 100 of the gravel to help mimic the rolling hills in the shire.

It s for my 50 gallon tank i want it to look more like home for the fish so if you know how to do it please give me all details on how to do this. Yeah it s time to upgrade. I am aware there is the mesh method but i don t know how i cut it up haha. I ve never had success with the stuff. Basicaslly i bought a moss marimo ball instead of what i meant to go and get which was ghost shrimp anyways i will get pics up at some point but i m wondering is there any way of making a carpet like thing on the bottom. Although i just chuck it in the tank and forget about it under all my other plants.

How do i turn moss balls into a beautiful grassy moss carpet for my aquarium.
